Andrea Winter "Bean" Dog 2 years old – – – Bean has not been herself lately and has been sleeping a lot more than normal. When we take her out for her favorite walks she just sits there. I started new treats about three days ago. She also seems to be peeing blood on occasion but only in the morning – – – [You speak with the owner and get the following information] -- – – Bean likes to eat pedigree most days but sometimes the owner feeds her chicken and rice. The treats are chicken jerky treats. The owner has not opened a new bag of food recently. -- – Bean has a perfectly normal BM twice a day. She gets diarrhea if they feed her table food so they have been super good about not doing that. She has had a history of urinary problems in the past and they do urine cultures on her when treating her because the first UTI was really bad. The owner asks you if there is anything she can do to help prevent the UTIs and you recommend wiping with unscented water baby wipes after every walk and also getting a urinalysis at her local vet for medications. The owner is happy to speak with a video vet tonight for further recommendations and video exam since her appointment with her veterinarian is over a week away.. -- – Bean has not vomited at all and rarely vomits. -- – She is on Heartgard and Nexgard as her preventatives but in the summer they add on a Seresto collar because it’s so bad where they live. -- –The owner is in New York -- –Bean occasionally gets claro when her ears get bad.
